Join The New Democrats
Canadians from all parts of the country are joining Canada's New Democrats because they want Parliament to work and get results for people. They know that Jack Layton is a leader who puts people first, and as the record shows, New Democrats get results in Parliament.
But there's a lot more to do.
By becoming a member of the New Democratic Party, you'll strengthen our party —the one that will get more done for everyday people and families and ensure an open and accountable government.
Between now and October 31, 2010 if you sign up for membership (general†, youth and fee-waived††) with the New Democratic Party of Canada then your membership fee will go to supporting our riding association's efforts to get ready for the next election. You can Join Online or Download the Membership Form to mail in. When you join the New Democratic Party you automatically became a member of all four levels of our party: Canada’s NDP, the BC NDP, your local BC NDP Constituency Association, and your local Federal Electoral District (Riding) Association.
As a member you will be eligible to shape party policy, participate in provincial and federal campaigns and activities, hold positions within the party, and vote for the federal leader.
† General Membership
The minimum fee for a general membership is $10. The minimum fee is waived for the underemployed if requested, but a cash fee of some kind (i.e, $1) is still required.
†† Young New Democrat (YND) Membership
A YND Membership entitles you to updates on the activities of the YND. You must be under the age of 26 to be eligible for a YND membership. The minimum fee for YND membership is $1 or whatever you can afford.
